Managing Director

Clive Flashman leads Flashfuture Consulting. He was one of the original innovators of Knowledge Management in the UK at the start of the dotcom boom, and was published in a range of journals at the time. He then re-entered the NHS where he designed and led the National Reporting & Learning System for patient safety, facilitated a WHO committee, chaired a global HL7 Special Interest Group and sat on the NHS Information Standards Board and NHS National Knowledge Service.

In addition to his leadership of Flashfuture, Clive is also Director of Strategy for ORCHA Health, Chief Digital Officer of a charity called Patient Safety Learning, and mentors on a number of University digital accelerator programmes as well as NHS England’s Clinical Entrepreneurs’ Programme. He is a former President of the Digital Health Council of the Royal Society of Medicine and a visiting lecturer in Digital Health at the University of Cumbria. Clive was previously Global Head of Mobile Strategy & Solutions for DXC's Healthcare & Life Sciences division. Prior to that, he worked as one of a small team of global healthcare strategists within CSC where he was tasked with thinking about the future of healthcare and how best to support clients in meeting the evolving challenges of this sector.

He has a keen interest in all things digital, and is passionate about the potential that digital transformation can bring to Healthcare. He is a mentor on NHS England's Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, helping clinicians turn their ideas into scaled up solutions that can be used by the NHS. He has worked with clients all around the world and brings a wealth of experience to Flashfuture.
